Superior Separation Starts and Ends with Steinert Systems

Separation:
Our task for more than 100 years.

At values of several hundred euros (US $) per tonne of metal, every percentage point counts — in terms of purity and yield. In addition to separation characteristics, particularly important criteria for the selection of proven non-ferrous separator technologies are reliable operation, low maintenance and ease of service. Examples of this are offered by the STEINERT non-ferrous metal separator with eccentric magnet system and the permanent overband magnetic sepearator  with its slimline stainless-steel housing that prevents secondary magnets from interfering and so protects components such as the belt and the drive over the long term. Another example is the use of multi-pole magnet systems with working widths considerably greater than one metre and working lengths of two metres, which considerably increased the detection and discharge of metallics parts. The Induction Sorting System ISS from STEINERT provides innovative and effective separation of stainless-steel containing slags.

Superior Separation is achieved using Steinert's MTE, NES, ISS and XSS separators.

MTE Electromagnetic Drum
Steinert’s MTE Drum Magnets yield clean and consistent ferrous metal products as well as non-ferrous raw materials ready for further processing by the NES.
NES Eddy Current Separator
The NES self cleaning/adjustable rotor design gives trouble free performance. Its superior non-ferrous metal recovery yields mixed metals ideal for further processing by the XSS and ISS Sorters.
XSS X-Ray Sorting System
Our latest technology, the XSS Series Sorters, x-rays metal then separates non-ferrous into heavy and light alloys. The XSS produces clean and valuable products that rival heavy media grades.
ISS Induction Sorting System
The heart of the ISS Series Sorters is our patented Smart Sensor™ Technology. This enables the ISS to recover stainless steel and stubborn metals, resulting in virtually metal-free waste.
